Bimini is known for it's historic significance and even features two bronze busts of Dr Martin Luther King Jr. One at the Bimini craft centre and the other located at 'The Healing Hole' named for it's healing impact on those who have swam there. It's also a popular location for game-fishing.

Flights are available from Nassau, Grand Bahama and Florida and land into South Bimini Airport (BIM). There is also a sea plane resort available to fly into from other local islands if island hopping. Bimini can also be accessed by boat.
