An archipelago made up of 6 main islands Turks and Caicos sits to the South-East of the Bahamas. Known for it's luxury tourism there are a number of high end resorts, mainly in Providenciales, which are located around the exquisite beaches with the main jewel to the crown being Grace Bay Beach, a 7 mile stretch along Providenciales.
The Turks are also known for their exceptional dive sites boasting one of the finest barrier reefs in the Atlantic Ocean which can be found at Grand Turk, Providenciales and West Caicos. Anyone who likes to be active on the water will be at home on these islands where the environment is perfect for kayaking, stand up paddle boarding and kite surfing.

The main airport in Turks and Caicos is Providenciales International Airport (PLS) which is where the main resorts are located. Any UK travellers will likely have to stop over in either Miami or Nassau before flying on to the island. There are other airports dotted on the other islands of Turks such as South Caicos Airport (XSC) and JAGS International Airport (GDT) which can be accessed via Providenciales. There are also passenger ferries with a regular service to get around the islands. There is no public transport once on the island so renting a car or taxi are the main modes of transport.
